Hahahahaha its like the longest minute of you run or the shortest minute if it serves as your break =P

Strengthen your running besides…well running

I know this is suppose to be serene but am I the only one who thinks a serial killer when looking at this?
I started doing a HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) Run for 20 min as a warm up. Basically a 2min high (7.8-8.1mph) and a 1min low (6.5-6.0mph). And I sweated more than I ever did in those 20min than I do running normally. In the beginning, I was okay. 3 cycles in and you start realizing those 2 min are awfully long and that 1 min break seems crazy short.
When I first began this I can at most make it to 10min. Now I can do 15min before my breaks gets a bit longer and lower speed and my high intensity is brought down a bit. For those who are pressed for time. This is a fantastic way to get your heart pumping!
I also found a new 5 minute ab workout. Most 5 minute abs video I have seem did not seem as challenging. But this one you can feel the burn. If you do not want to watch the video, the ab breakdown is like this:
30s mountain climbers
30s knee to elbow
30s plank
Repeat until you hit 5min. NO BREAKS! Those 30s may not seem long but after doing the knee to elbow after running it gets extremely tiring. I started this a week ago and am not able to fully complete the entire 5 minutes without taking a break.
So far I’m loving the new additions. Hopefully I can get through them without dying soon!
So what are some new workouts you’ve added in?
There a tmes in my run that I’m like okay its cool off time, let’s slow it down. Then a couple seconds later, my speed song comes up. Maybe its the beat, maybe its the conditioning, but no matter how tired I am I just HAVE TO RUN IT! I’m sure this is psychology at play!

I can’t wait to break these puppies in!
